To prevent tarnishing of silver, you should clean its surface with a cotton napkin. and store separately from your other ornaments.
To maintain and stabilize the shine of all jewelry, including gold, silver and rhinestones, direct contact with acidic substances such as perfume and cologne should be avoided. For example, when using a necklace or a small chest, you should first spray the cologne on your body or clothes and then use the necklace. Also, after using the jewelry for a long time, clean the jewelry with a clean and soft tissue moistened with water. Cleaned it and put it in its own box. Because body sweat is acidic, if it remains on jewelry for a long time and is not removed, it will reduce the shine of jewelry, silver, and rhinestones.

Recognition of silver
You must have seen the numbers engraved on it when buying silver, these numbers are the measure of silver grade, which is not the same in every piece of jewelry. In silver, this number is a three-digit number that is obtained by dividing by 10, the pure grade of silver. Because of the soft texture of silver, it must be mixed with some impurities, which are usually copper or nickel. The most famous type of silver that you probably already have in your home is 925, which is known as sterling silver. This silver is the most popular among different grades of silver.
The reason why 925 alloy is called sterling silver and do you know its meaning? Only a few people know what it actually means. To this day, it is used to describe a silver alloy around the world that is the same term as 925 silver. This name refers to silver with a purity of 92.5%. The residue is usually copper. This mixture was already used in early medieval England in coin form. Silver coins were called "sterling" there.
Sterling silver alloyed with copper offers the advantage that compared to other types of silver (800 silver or 835 silver), it is significantly more durable than pure silver. It is also proven to be much less susceptible to tarnishing than other silvers. For this reason, 925 silver is often used for everyday items such as cutlery and watches. Earrings, necklaces and other silver jewelry are also often made of this alloy.
